RiverJazz: Glenn Miller Orchestra
Tickets: $32 - $39 ($9 per ticket Service/Facility Fee + 5% City Amusement Tax additional) it’s a night of swing and big band at its finest when the Glenn Miller Orchestra visits the Musikfest Cafe. Originally led by legendary conductor Glenn Miller, the first incarnation of this ensemble dates back to the late ’30s. The orchestra holds the record for producing more hit albums in one year than any act in the history of the recording industry. Today, it’s led by musical director Nick Hilscher and plays more than 300 live dates annually.
RiverJazz: Dirty Dozen Brass Band
Tickets: $35 - $45 ($9 per ticket Service/Facility Fee +5% City Amusement Tax additional) Known for its signature brass sound, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band has been together for more than 35 years, performing on five continents and more than 30 countries. During this time, the group has collaborated with a Who’s Who of the music world, including artists as diverse as David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Dr. John, Widespread Panic, Modest Mouse, Dave Matthews Band and the Black Crowes.
