Five-time Grammy Award winner Robert Cray has been serving up his unique blend of blues and soul for more than 25 years. In 1986, Cray released his breakthrough album, Strong Persuader, which contained the hit "Smoking Gun" and reached No. 13 on the Billboard 200, ultimately earning Cray a Grammy Award. Over the years, the guitarist has performed with a wide range of artists, including Bob Dylan and Eric Clapton. His most recent release, Cookin in Mobile, reached No. 5 on Billboards Top Blues Albums charts.

Known for its unique style and its blending of many musical influences, CAKE got its start in the Sacramento, California area in the early 90s, releasing its debut recording, Motorcade of Generosity, in 1994.  Among the groups many crowd pleasing hits are Short Skirt/Long Jacket,
The Distance, Never There, Love You Madly and No Phone. Over the past two-plus decades, the band has released seven albums, including the platinum selling Fashion Nugget in 1996 and Prolonging the Magic in 1998.  Its most recent release, 2011s Showroom of Compassion, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and included the Top 5 single Sick of You.

Texas-based trio Fastball rose to fame in 1998 with its platinum album All the Pain Money Can Buy.  The band combines Beatles-inspired pop with '90s rock, leading to hits like The Way, Out of My Head and the Top 20 favorite Fire Escape.  Among its honors are two GRAMMY nominations and an MTV Music Award nomination.
The Rembrandts are best known for their smash single, Ill Be There For You, featured as the theme song on Friends.  The duos hits such as Just the Way It Is, Baby and Johnny Have You Seen Her combine catchy hooks and pop rock harmonies that delight fans from coast to coast.

Winners of a 1984 GRAMMY Award for Best New Artist, Culture Club had a string of Top 10 hits in the 1980s starting with international smash "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me." Led by their charismatic lead singer, Boy George, the group became one of the most popular acts of the decade, with hits such as@ "Ifll Tumble 4 Ya," "Itfs a Miracle," "Time (Clock of the Heart)" and "Karma Chameleon." Later this year, the band will release "Tribes," its first new album since 1999fs "Donft Mind If I Do," which featured the hit "I Just Wanna Be Loved."

For more than 40 years, Billy F. Gibbons, Dusty Hill and Frank Beard have been serving up their distinctive brand of rock, blues and boogie, delighting audiences around the world. The band, ZZ TOP  debuted in 1969, and four years later hit the mainstream with its hit La Grange. Among the groups many hits are classics like Tush, Gimme All Your Lovin, Sharp Dressed Man, Legs, Cheap Sunglasses and Sleeping Bag.

Darius Rucker will bring his dynamic blend of country hits and Hootie & the Blowfish classics to Musikfest when he headlines the festival on August 14th. The performance will also feature country singer and former 'The Voice' winner Cassadee Pope.
Darius has released three chart-topping country albums, as well as a successful holiday album featuring original songs and Christmas classics. His 2013 release, True Believers, featured the No. 1 smash Wagon Wheel, which went on to earn Rucker a GRAMMY in the category of Best Country Solo Performance.

ALICE IN CHAINS
ALICE IN CHAINS 08/16/15

Originally consisting of vocalist Layne Staley, guitarist Jerry Cantrell, bassist Mike Starr and drummer Season Kenney, Alice in Chains formed in the mid-1980s in Seattle, Wash. The groups debut album, 1990s Facelift, helped transition fans of heavy metal into the Seattle alternative grunge scene, and the band continued to record and tour into the mid-90s, earning nominations from The American Music Awards, GRAMMY Awards and MTV Music Video Awards. In 1994 it released Jar of Flies, which quickly topped the Billboard 200, making it the first EP in history to reach the peak of the album charts.

The Yardbirds

The Yardbirds formed in June 1963, with Keith Relf on vocals and harmonica, Chris Dreja on guitar, Jim McCarty on drums, Paul Samwell-Smith on bass and Anthony Top Topham on guitar. That October, Topham was replaced by Eric Clapton. The group was originally called the Most Blueswailing Yardbirds, and their repertoire consisted entirely of blues cover songs. Their following increased when they replaced the Rolling Stones as the house band at the Crawdaddy Club in Richmond, Surrey, England.In addition to their six Top 40 songs, the Yardbirds will be remembered as having produced the top three English blues-based guitarists of the 60s: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page.
